What our department looks like
Overseen by the Head of Multi Channel, you’ll be joining a team of Web Designers, a Customer Marketing
Co-ordinator, a Marketing Traffic Co-ordinator, a Web Trading Manager, Customer Experience Manager and some Web Trading Assistants, who all report to the Web Marketing Manager.
Exactly what you’ll be doing
The Online Marketing team are working towards making our company a Multi Channel organisation and you’ll play a big part in helping this happen. At the moment, our website brings in around 2% of sales. The aim is to increase this so that more customers shop online instead of in store.
Working within the wider team you’ll gain an understanding of how other departments impact the Multi Channel team, like Supply Chain, Call Centre and Marketing. You’ll also get involved with the full product life cycle and spend time with the Buyers, Distribution Centres, and Stores.
Learning from the different members of the team, you’ll develop your skills in Graphic Design, HTML building and email banner design and build. You’ll also develop your abilities in email traffic driving, Google search affiliates, promotions and how to work effectively with external agencies. In addition, you’ll enhance your knowledge of search engine optimisation and onsite advertising campaigns, and will learn how to evaluate the online customer experience, reviewing usability, click paths, site testing and the analysis of customer feedback.
It’s a very unique role. You’ll have constant reviews of your performance and will be set challenging targets. And, at the end of the scheme if you’ve performed successfully, you’ll have secured a permanent position with Wilko.
